OSU Cloud of Honor Cumulus Award

Last month I received the Cumulus Award from Oklahoma State University’s MSIS Department as part of their Cloud of Honor program.

Receiving the Cumulus Award

The Cloud of Honor recognizes graduates who’ve built strong careers, contributed to their communities, and given back to the department. The Cumulus Award goes to young alumni making an impact in the information systems field. I was one of four recipients this year, alongside Morgan Bjerke, Balaji Dhamodharan, and Hadley Vaca.

Why this matters to me

I stayed involved with OSU because the program gave me more than a degree. It taught me how to approach problems and people. How to build relationships. How to care about the person every bit as much as the problem you’re trying to solve. That’s shaped every job I’ve had since.

I serve on the Advisory Board, mentor students through Spears Assist, and recruit on campus. I do it because I believe in their people-first approach. The students ask good questions. The faculty listen. And I always leave with more than I came with.
